The Beehive is down

Remember my situation, how to get the beehive down and move the bees?

The beehive in the tree is down, but the bees are still in it. (Well they did come out when their portion of the tree hit the ground.) I guess they will remain there for the winter and then next spring I will work on getting them out and into a new hive. (Oh yes, we missed hitting the side of the house by about 6 inches.)

Oh yes, I pushed a pipe in the hollow part and struck honey.

Taking out trees is always interesting. We nearly took out an electric line and light pole when we felled one of ours.. The guy cutting it down didn't really know what he was doing, but he took two of our trees down for $200. Can't complain too much :D So, are you going to go into bee farming? All you'd have to do was move the queen to some hive boxes and VOILA!

I would find a beekeeper to get rid of your bees. They know how to get the queen and the rest will follow her.
