The beginning of a greenhouse

We have this deck on the west side of the house. The railing was not in very good shape so we knew that some work would need to be done. The winds most of the time blow from the north and northwest, thus coming through the kitchen window and laundry room door making it cold in the house during the winter. So we decided to convert the existing deck into a covered greenhouse. The advantages: 1) stops wind infiltration into the kitchen and 2) provides a way for us to grow produce to reduce our food expenses. It is conveniently located off the kitchen which is an added feature. Imagine stepping out of the greenhouse and directly into your kitchen, how much fresher can the produce be?
